It is the policy of this company to strive for the highest safety standards on our projects. Safety does not occur by chance. It is the result of careful attention to all company operations by those who are directly and indirectly involved. Employees at all levels must work diligently to execute the company's policy of maintaining safety and occupational health.

Our Mission

The safety of our workers is of paramount importance to us.  We are committed to providing a secure work environment at all times, and employ strict standards, rigorous employee training and regular review of safety procedures to protect our employees.

Award-winning Safety

Safety is planned into every task by our site management and field supervisors.  No detail is left to chance, particularly with the heavy lift operations required to set turbine equipment, generators, HRSG modules, and many other types of power and process equipment.

Our constant vigilance not only safeguards our workers from injury, but ensures higher productivity levels, avoids costly work delays and also makes us more competitive. In fact, we routinely consult our insurance company’s safety engineer or an industry professional to review our methods and make safety recommendations.

Durr Mechanical Construction, Inc. is proudly performing work on the Croton 312G contract along with the Skanska-Tully Joint Venture.  This contract was awarded with the Federal OSHA Voluntary Protection Program Merit Status.  The rigorous process for acceptance into the VPP program included numerous jobsite audits and employee interviews conducted by OSHA employees.  This project is the first New York City agency project to receive VPP recognition and DMC is honored to be a part of it.
